‘A warm and caring activity centre open to anyone age 57 and over’

At the heart of West Cornwall’s senior community for nearly 50 years, Pengarth Day Centre offers friendship, fun and community to everyone aged 57 and over.

We provide a warm, caring day facility seven days a week in which you can sit, chat and enjoy regular activities and frequent special events.

We also have a wonderful kitchen that provides refreshments as well as great value home cooked lunches, and if you are unable to visit why not try our acclaimed home meals delivery service.

Should you need a little pampering, or indeed extra care, we also have a hair salon, chiropody clinic and bathing facilities.

You will find us in Morrab Gardens, Penzance. We are open 9.30am to 4.30pm and you do not need to book and we can pick you up and drop you off. Anyone is welcome to join us.

Originally opened in 1968 Pengarth Day Centre has come to be the focal point, as well as a much loved resource and important daily care facility, for the senior and older community of West Cornwall.

Pengarth operates as a drop in centre that anyone is welcome to use at anytime during the day, for no charge. In addition to this we offer a range of additional services such as home cooked meals and personal care, that people can enjoy and utilise as required.

Pengarth also provides an out-reach service to those who are not able to attend the centre itself. Our daily home delivered meals service is incredibly popular, as are the weekly talking newspaper recordings that are distributed to those with visual impairment.

As a registered charity Pengarth Day Centre is totally committed to our goal of providing fun, friendship and care to Penwith’s senior community.
